Chillin' sight, looks like a bridge to nowhere!
Your right Bonnie Lad - it goes nowhere, it's part of the Drammen open air museum and it has been replaced by this bridge :))
I like the way the 'authorities have made an effort to maintain this little piece of history.
Hmm I was familiar with the Road to Nowhere but a Bridge to Nowhere.....that's new! A pretty cool one right now. I think I must come up North to enjoy some real winter.
Warm wishes, Erik
(looks like you need them)
My preferate bridge! Beautiful winter shot! Cheers, Christian
Cool photo, great bridge when you have nowhere to go ;>)
Give us a lift ~ to Where ~ lands beyond imagination perhaps ~
The weather in the UK has also been very mild Erik, and I have spring flowers in the garden there already. Here in southwest Norway it is also comparatively mild, although we arrived back to snow! This photo is taken in east Norway where the winters are much 'better' as far as snow is concerned. The bridge to nowhere was un-required that day - it would have been possible to cross this river on foot!

Here is my preferred bridge dear Christian, and maybe it is more like the one of Van Gogh. :))
I'm delighted that you liked this photo - thank you.
Thanks Mick - going nowhere is one of my pastimes :)))
I think it must have been a bit of a drag to lift this bridge dear Nick - and besides it only went to the south bank of Drammens river. Sorry to disappoint you on a Sunday evening. ;-)
Dearest LGM it is never a drag to listen to your silver tones ~ one's world is only limited by one's imagination ~ xxx
Nice shot dear Amelia!
I must say I prefer this original one, although I guess this is meant just for Batman and his Batmobile...
Best wishes, Timo
Good composition. Nice picture. like-5 Greetings from Brazil.
Good morning Timo, I think I prefer the original as well, but I wanted to show that this large river was totally frozen over. I like the way that these historical pieces have been preserved in Drammen.
Warm wishes from Norway, Amelia
Hello Nicodemos, many thanks for your visit and lovely compliment. This bridge is part of the history of Drammen.
Greetings to Brazil from Norway, Amelia
Good they preserved this little bridge! The oxblood red paint on the woodwork looks lovely (and tpypically scandinavian).
très beau ,me fait penser au peintre" mal aimé" ,j'aime
