McDonald’s in Cleveland, MS '4 Star' review found on internet ;-)

4 Star review( * * * *)

from Justin M. in Boyle, MS

• This location is pretty good. On the typical day the inside is kept pretty clean and neat. Food is reasonably priced (but of course it is fast food). Most of the food I have tried tasted pretty good. Wild Berry Smoothies taste good. Myself, I usually get the grilled chicken wrap with ranch or honey mustard and enjoy it.

The location also now has two television sets (though if you are not a Fox News fan, this might not be a good thing) which are located in the back and in the front. There are a couple of gaming machines in the back.

• I personally was impressed by the bold design of the arch. The bright morning and deep blue sky certainly helped here!

This may be a very old design or very new one. I have not seen it elsewhere!

The oldest operating McDonald's restaurant was the third one built, opening in 1953. It's in Downey, California and has similar design.

What a find! I haven't seen an original Micky Dee building since the early 1980s. Like

Hello TomRos,

first of all I like your colourful picture. By the way, do you know, how old McDonald's arches really are?

And then I'm a little confused - the last time I was in Cleveland it was situated in Ohio. I didn't know they moved it to Mississippi..... :-))

Best wishes from Germany Gerhard

Gerhard, Mississippi bought out Cleveland from Ohio in 1999 in all stock trade + plus a bit of cotton and handfull of pecans.

They left the name also in Ohio, so there is no hole in the map!

The Rock and Roll hall of Fame, is all that left in there, as Rollings Stones declared: "We are to old to move"

I like this shot Tom, it brings back memories from high school days when for lack of better things to do, we hung out at a McDucks that looked very similar to the one in Cleveland. Greetings from California, Michael

Michael, this was the first old design I have seen, so I was not even sure, that it was a McD.

I think the oldest one is still in California.
