Greetings Ntinos and Pepe, Thanks for visiting the Christmas lights of Denver and your wonderful comments. The lights are very colorful and a favorite for the children.

Ntinos - I am glad you like the colors of the picture. The lights are never the same from year to year. They always change. The display sees thousands of visitors each night.

Pepe - The colors make the children say oooo and ahhh and jump up and down in the snow. There is a Christmas parade the first weekend the lights are on. It's at night and everyone wears Christmas lights.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both of you and your families and loved ones. I hope the holiday season finds you safe and happy.

Greetings La Mugna and Alan, Thank you for visiting the Christmas Lights on the City and County Building of Denver Colorado. Thank you for the comments and the holiday wishes.

La Mugna - Thanks, I was standing in the park with hundreds of my new best friends taking pictures of the lights and pictures of families with their cameras. The children were in awe. I am glad you liked it.

Alan - Thanks. The City workers and volunteers go a little crazy with this display. It has been a tradition for as long as I can remember. The concept is the same every year but the color arrangements change. It is fun.

As we all took pictures the carillon bells played Christmas carols from the bell tower. So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you both and may the holiday season find you and yours happy and well.

Greetings Alan, Miriam, Errece, Alfred and PeSchn, Thanks for visiting the City and County Building of Denver and its annual Christmas Light display.

Alan - Thanks for the wishes. Be safe.

Miriam - The city workers and volunteers put up the display each year, but the colors will be different from year to year. The children all love it.

Errece - It is a pretty good display, maybe a little overboard, but it is the only display they do and it has become such a huge tradition after all these decades.

Alfred - There are many, many flood lights and thousands of additional Christmas lights to make the display. It takes several weeks to put all the lights up.

While we were there taking pictures there was a steady line of cars, buses, limos, horse drawn carriages, and pedicabs as well as hundreds of walkers looking at the display. The children had a wonderful time seeing the display and all the colors while there was snow on the ground.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Happy and Safe New Year.

Greetings Igor, Alex and Yeyo, Thank you for visiting the Denver City and County Building lighting display and commenting. This is a long standing tradition that everyone looks forward to during the Holidays.

Igor - A large crew of city workers and volunteers work for two weeks to put all the lights and displays up. Then they have a lighting ceremony and a couple nights of parades where everyone is decorated with Christmas Lights. It is a lot of fun and the children, young and old have a great time.

Alex - The capital is the other building and is the capital of Colorado. This building is the government building for Denver, Colorado. But when it is dark and the lights are on, who cares. the kids love it.

Yeyo - Thanks for visiting

Merry Christmas to all and have a Happy New Year. I hope everyone gets to celebrate with family and loved ones and have a safe holiday season.

They really go big down there don't they? It over the top, but I admit I gave you a yellow star for your fantastical colour display... Certainly humbles my lonely tree ;) Happy Christmas to you and your family Rich.

Richard Ryer on December 21, 2007

Greetings Vicki, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Yeah, I guess they do go a little overboard on the lighting and displays, but it's only once a year and it is the only thing they do for any holiday. And the kids love it. So, once again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Be safe, stay healthy.
