Cheers Richard, I was very fortunate because there aren't many times when the water is this still. I was hoping to have had a more colourful sunset to go with it but greyness prevailed. You can't have it all as they say . regards, Sam :o)

Hi Sam, you've chosen a perfect time of day for this shot...the still water provides great reflections of the urban landscape that has great range of colours as sunset approaches. One of the best panoramic shots I've seen on Panoramio. Well done Regards Stuart

Not a fan of Tyneside, so wasn't going to take a close look. Glad I did, though. It's difficult, I would like to point at one image in your gallery and say "that is the best". But you make that impossible. It is one hell of a bit of work. Maybe I am wrong, but a more colourful sky might have taken from the rest of the image? I very much like it the way it is.

Thanks Stuart I am flattered by your comment.

Hey Si I am surprised to read you aint a fan of the Toon , especially given how it lends itself so well to night photography. I had it in mind to suggest a look up that way some time once the weather was a bit warmer. Cheers for the high praise mate.

Well, this image has sold the idea to me, Sam. I'm up for it.

An absolute cracker Sam ! Under normal circumstance I would reckon that this would have been called blue time but here its clearly taken at grey time !

That worked out perfect for the lights and the Baltic (which thanks to Pano, I know much more about now).

This is brilliant - love it very much - Jethro

Cheers Jethro, your comment along with t'others has convinced me grey is good here :o) Glad to hear Pano is adding to your already burgeoning wealth of knowledge, my sponge doesn't have the same absorbency I fear.
