LOL both of the above but I wished I could jump over the snow in my snowshoes like this critter (not yet to be named due to quiz in forum). My snowshoes are a size too small for 40cm of new powder snow :)

Hello, j'aime bien les noms de lieux autour de la localisation de la photo. Ca fleure bon la Belle Province ! sérieusement, les traces de la bestiole dans la neige... qu'est-ce-qu'un "deer-mouse"? Une souris avec des bois de daim?, ou bien un daim de la taille d'une souris? On ne connaît pas ce genre de bête de ce côté-ci de l'Atlantique! Hope you don't mind me switching to English, I understand French well enough but I'm horrible with writing it :). Anyway the name Deer Mouse comes from its coloration which is "deer like" Deer Mouse Info

The Deer Mouse wanders unlike an animal whose purpose is surviving a cold Winter day. It wanders more like an artist making a long stroke on a canvas of snow.
