Hi Cherie, The camera is important, but this photograph is the result of extra editing. The photo is an HDR (high dynamic range) image. I made three separate exposures,one at 0 ev, one two stops over exposed, and one at two stops underexposed. All three exposures are brought into an HDR program ( I use Photomatix), and an algorithm holds the mid tones while keeping highlights from getting blown out, and shadows from going black. I also did some editing in Photoshop.
