Hi, Kojak.
Great shot!
When I see this photo, I think that human beings might have degraded from her. Is evolution theory really correct?

Hi Kojak I was just looking at this wee cutie and my son walked over and said, "Mum it's a fake, no Mum it is a fake!" Kids nowadays are sooo cynical.... We have argued, I know she's real....please add comment for my nine year old about gophers....we don't have them in this country. I still think this is the loveliest shot; of course she's real!!

OK sadogashima, it's not a fake! It's a real gopher at the 17 mile drive in California. There are many tourist and they feed the gopher although it is forbidden. For this photo I made a trick - I made the gopher thought that some food is in my hand and so he wanted to get it so it stood up ... ;-)

Hehe! Of course I can imagine this. My son just got out of bed to read your comment. He also loves the gopher shot, he's quite fascinated by it. Anyway, thank you for your comment. I'm smiling to think about your trick. It doesn't look hungry or starving so no harm done!

No problem ... ;-) I think in the original phote (not cut) you see a little bit of my hand ... ;-) ... But I think the worst thing you can do is to feed the gophers - but tourist always do this ... :-/

Yes! My home city's botanical gardens forbids feeding the ducks, but tourists still do. The reason is not for the ducks, it's for the caca! But still they feed them. Domestic wildlife is just a shame, eh.

Excellent shot Kojak. The 17 Mile Drive is a wonderful place. I have much the same shot here. Perhaps even the same animal? HAHA!
