this is utterly strange that why all the names are in chinese as if it is only intended for Chinese community; not for someone like us from outer world. Is China still a forbidden country???
take it easy! thapa.birendra.
In fact many people don't know the names of those mountains.
Thanks for the explanation. I would love it if the photos also had captions or names in English. Rgds.
Someone from China may not think to post in English. Dictionary.reverso does a better job than Google translate! The results I got: http://www.reverso.net/translationresults.aspx?lang=EN&direction=chinese-english
Wow! Breathtaking! FYI thapa.birendra and F908X980: That's a majestic view of the Shishapangma massif (as translation of Chinese title) from the Tibetan Plateau i.e. northern side of the Himalayas; shrouded in clouds (main summit is not seen) and with Buddhistic prayer flags at foreground. It's name means in Tibetan "crest rising over meadows" and is, at 8,013 m elevation, the 14. highest mountain at all, i.e. the lowest of the eight-thousanders. Like + Fav this pic.
