dirty snow. Like always when traffic is envolved. Good point in the horizon.
Actually the "dirty snow" on the road was ice that must have formed before the ploughing--with a strange pattern of ridges in it, so it wasn't slippery. It looks as thought there's road from the ploughed ridge on one side to the ploughed ridge on the other, doesn't it? That's what fooled me! Underneath that even-looking surface was a very abrupt drop-off, and when I tried to park, I drove the wheels on the right side down into it! Live and learn.
Is the weather in Canada looking like this right now? So much snow... Nice but cold !!!
Actually, Annick, it's below freezing but not as cold as it has been or will be. The light yesterday (when I took this) was unusual: extremely light cloud cover, never completely full sun, so everything was a bit soft and pastel. It would have been I lovely time for photography if I hadn't driven the car beyond the edge of the road right here (as I explained to Carsten), and got stuck, and had to wait more than an hour and a half for a tow truck to pull me out!!
:-) reason why I enjoy snow... only on winter postcards and Season Greetings cards... I absolutly don't understand which "force" pushes people to climb on wooden planks to sleep down snowy slopes (they call it ski) Not for me !!! I am cat-minded ! Warm, confortable, stressless, quiet, sunny, ... lazzzzzzzy ! Cheers Annick
I agree, Annick, though I also enjoy looking at fresh snow through a window on a sunny day! Will you join me in having a cup of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace?
That's the way I prefer winter ! looking at it outside from a warm and confortable place inside, with hot chocolate or a glass of "vin chaud" and friends around me. If ever i travel to Canada, I'll accept nice invitation , Marilyn
