Dunleith Mansion in Natchez -1856 - Yes, you can stay the night (about $180)

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Natchez used to be the wealthiest city in all of North America.

Dunleith Mansion is one of the several Antebellum homes in the city, which survived the civil war!

It was built in Greek revival style, with 26 Tuscan columns around the house. The columns support a double gallery with wrought iron railings spanning the columns. Jeffersonian windows extend from the floor to the ceiling on the first floor. Enclosed within the 14 ½ inch thick walls is 9,500 ft2 of floor space. The floors are made of heart pine, with cypress baseboards.

Italian marble mantle pieces adorn each fireplace, and elegantly designed ceiling medallions enhance the chandeliers hung throughout the house.

It is open to tours, and you can have your wedding there too.

26 rooms are available to rent for the night or longer!
