Rosemont Estate, Jefferson's Davis (President of Confederate States of America 1861-1865) childhood home. The modest home, on a large treed property, is open to visitors.

Tour is self guided, everything is open, you could probably cook there too. It is no longer owned by his family, but his mother is burried there on a small family cemetary.

The kitchen is in its own building.

Jefferson Davis, is thought to have instigated the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865, So he is not much talked about in US history lessons.
