2007 - September 30th - 01:30Z - Looking NW - A light in the attic.
I remember seeing a ugly cloud (circular looking) near Regina. It was when we were at god awful (and unheard of) levels of humidity and the next day this landed in Manitoba.
You sure take your chances chasing those clouds! :S
Hello Pam. I have never actually seen a tornado. I have seen three funnel clouds and numerous rotating thunderstorms, however I've yet to bag the infamous twister. Now, closeness is another story. Though you cannot see it in this picture, we were only a few miles away from a tornado. It was dark out and the low clouds obscured the actual tornado, but there was a damage path and the storm was tornado-warned. This tornado was part of the large 'Cinco De Mayo" tornado outbreak of this year. Myself and a friend drove through the cores of a couple of these storms to try and get position only to be denied the light to see with. It was one crazy night, however.
I remember that storm in Manitoba this summer. It made quite a lot of news here in the States as well. Nasty weather, for sure.

Dann how close have you come to a tornado?
