a dime's worth for economical growth

I wanted to use a quarter, but in these tough economic times...

Thank you, Marion. I have to settle for shooting frost as we've had only one real snowfall this winter. The dime was Meryl's idea. She pointed out that I needed something in the photo to illustrate just how small the ice crystals are. Best wishes, Leo

Hmmmm, frost....think I will stay in Australia where such things rarely happen

Leo Roundtree on February 8, 2012

I don't mind the frost, Lex. It is pretty, sometimes makes for good photos and is usually gone by noon. It's the 12 inch snowfalls that make me wish for Hawaii. Luckily we've only had one of those this winter (so far).

Best wishes, Leo

Very nice detail! This image proves that every ice crystal is unique! Believe me or not once I found a coin like this (One dime) on a construction site not far from Moscow I worked at! I was surprised and still wonder how it appeared there! Best wishes to you!

Thank you, Dmitriy. I was surprised the first time I photographed ice crystals to see the different shapes.

I really would like to know also how that dime found its way to that construction site. Very curious.

Best wishes, Leo

I'm not a fan of frost...luckily its not something we see here very often..

Frost ain't my favorite thing either, Lex, but it does make nice photos sometimes.

Hi, Leo - pretty frost photo and the biggest dime I've ever seen (O:

Leo Roundtree on May 14, 2012

That's right, Suzi. I make BIG money with these photos.

Thanks for the visit. It is great to hear from you.
Between the three grandkids and Henry (and Meryl), I haven't had as much time as I'd like to visit my Pano friends as I should.

Best wishes, Leo
