The moon sets at sunrise in Anza Borrego State Park. To catch an eastward-facing for the February 6, 2012 sunset moon rise, the moon will be around 9 degrees up in the sky at sunset, so you don't need a particularly low horizon. For a westward-facing shot of the February 8 sunrise moon set however the moon will only be about 2 degrees up in the sky, so you'll need a fairly low horizon (with no hills or mountains higher than your shooting position) to catch the moon still in the sky when its exposure balances with the landscape exposure before the sun sets, and during the best sunset sky color a few minutes after the sun sets.
Again an image with a stunning view; lightfall and mood. Again a picture that will be added to my fav's.
