Oh I would have loved to have seen this beautiful sight! Its good when some old ones get a new round of viewing isn't it?

wow - I had no idea this didn't have any comments! Thanks marbiz !It's a beauty of a sight, especially that year when we had all these days of fluffy light snow all day long. And that year the tree was perfect for photographing. No one can get a shot like this this year. This year's tree is HUGE - and it's about 3 times wider and twice as tall as the one here. This same view would only show the lites on the tree.

Great view of a great Christmas tree with a Bostonian flavor!

Ah yes, thanks for pointing me to this, Kamalyn, it really is a snorter! I had got over all things Christmassy and took my decorations down yesterday, (which you might think was a bit hasty, but if you knew they had been up since the end of November then you would understand the urgent need to do a bit of dusting) and now I feel like celebrating Christmas all over again, this is such a magical image.

Thank you again. I shall now blow it up bigger and have an even better look at it!

Best wishes,

Thanks JLourenco ! It certainly was! Glad you can see our city in the photo. Best Wishes doe 2010 to you :)

Thanks again Sue for all your great words on this shot! Yes, I can imagine Christmas decorations just don't hold quite the same charm when they're a month old, and the temps. are around 35C ! Hope you could cool off just by looking at this! But around here, I hate to see the decorations come down. Since we're heading into a long cold winter, the decorations do a lot to make the dreary gray and white seem cheerful.

WOWwww... is this a trick or special effect? it is gorgeous.i think its the best x-mas tree ive seen on picture! it must be the snow. snow makes everything look better it makes those special light conditions and especially for night shots. we didnt get much snow, but when we had it, rushed out for some pictures.. :) really beautiful and charming image!
