Hello, Jeff! Is it hard to get to York Factory? From the picture, it seems to me that this historic site is remote and cut off from any other place. Me wondering what this place would look like in winter. ~~~

Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand.

Hey Worapong,

The only way to get to York Factory is by air or boat in the summer, or a snowmobile in the winter. It is very remote (no roads/trails/rail lines) and the weather that can come of the Hudsons bay can be terrible.

Hi Bryan,

This picture is the tourist location.. not included in the picture are a few more buildings to the North where people and workers stay.

There is a landing strip on that island already. It's about 1800 ft long on gravel and mud.
