The Lucy-Richardson Maximum Entropy Deconvolution for motion deblurring of this image was performed by using CADET
Lucy Richardson Maximum Entropy method deconvolution and noise reduction applied to reverse motion blur You can find another example here showing before and after motion blur reversal with LCME deconvolution.
Volkan - this is a wonderful night time shot that honors the memory of the twin towers. Very nice! Just as when a loved one dies, it's a happy memory to come across a beautiful photo of them. Thanks!
Thanks very much Kamaly. I hope people sees this picture the way you do and recognize the effort for the restoration of the image to the level it has. As expected, the original image was suffering heavily from motion blur due to ferry's movement from waves during relatively long exposure time of this picture. Many thanks to Oscar Contreras who wrote the great utility CADET which I used for performing motion de-bluring iterations back in 2003.
