Video 1 - Video 2- Video 3 The Argo in Greek mythology was the ship on which they boarded in Iolkos Argonauts to Colchis to go in and get the Golden Fleece. It took its name from the manufacturer of Argos, son of Phrixus and Chalkiopis. The Argo is described as the fastest and most robust boat of its time. It was also extremely light, to enable the transfer ashore by the crew. After the campaign the Argonauts spent their ship in the temple of Poseidon on the Isthmus. According to legend, the Argo is associated with the end of Jason. The Argo was later transferred to the sky and transformed the namesake constellation.
