The plant growth was seldom above 4 feet providing some nesting places for a variety of large sea birds. Ground up peices of coral made up the beach sand. The living reef exstending out to aprox. 100 ft or so from the shore line. A large variety of sea live covering over and beyond it. Hermit crabs the size of your fist in the thousands are common. an ocational sign that a sea turtle had come on shore to nest during the night.
