Again,I walk along my local old railway, remembering the days of iron lines and steam here. Now on this very cold Winter's day, the people of Oldham can stroll in peace and content through the ice, snow and mist.
Ueliton and Marina, many, many thanks for your comments here and your likes. Much appreciated!
Best wishes, Herb
Nice black and white shot Herb
Stay warm and get your colour back soon!
Hi Jethro, great to see you here, studying my black and white shot :) Pretty cold at the moment, the snow having melted into ice around here. Just grey without the mist today. Thanks for your like
Hi, Herbert. I like this composition very much. Very expressive photo. Kind regards, Nickolay
Excellent winter shot. Realy I feel a snowfall & cold. LIKE
My gowd, you describe so well Herb that I remember why I'm here!
Nice one. I like the person under the bridge. It seems to give the picture atmosphere. It looks like a spot on the canal path in Kendal, a tall house beside a stone bridge. Good misty cold look about the photo
See you soon, John.
Nickolay, bucefal,Jethro and John, great that you all managed to get here to walk down this old railway path with me. This picture goes on to prove that we do not always need to have sunny weather to take interesting shots. Yes, many a British path, railway and canal have such stretches as this John.
Best wishes to you all and thanks for the awards. - See you soon John- Herb
Hi Herb, i love the elegant photo. Also i love the old railway path.
Best greetings. GGR
Hi GGR, sorry missed this a few months ago. My apologies! I have another from almost the same spot as this, perhaps a little more well know than this (see http://www.panoramio.com/photo/18993568). Thanks for your visit and like.
