Hi Erik - really a winterwonderland - beautiful shot! I seems to have spread out over large parts of Europe! We've got it too!

Cheers form Austria, Sonny

Hello Sonny - and thanks for visiting! I've viewed your shots and I have to admit, they are even nicer :-) What a wonderful saturday did we have. Maybe you are more familiair with this phenomenon Raureif, but for us in Holland it's something very special.

Do you live in the countryside region near Vienna and is it your own vineyard? I love the hills and the mountains that we miss here. I also saw that the shots were made with a brand new Nikon D300. Must be a fantastic camera, isn't it?!

Cheers from a now 'very back to normal' Holland, Erik

Thanks Erik - I should have read this post first since you have already seen the other pics anyway!LOL Yes, we do have "Raureif" more often indeed but usually not for such a long time in am row. Actually it's there in the morning after a rather wet evening when the cold temperatures come rather quickly and goes away when it's getting warmer. This time it stayed cold for some days and the ice remained like this.

Yes Erik, I live about 25 km next to Vienna (where I grew up). It's a nice place to live - landscapewise! People are a bit behind and without the www I would have gone nuts already!LOL! And no, it's not my vineyard. It's kind of a pilot project with plants from several countries. And yes, the new Nikon is great! Another milestone after the 200. We already had Nikon when there wasn't Digi and the decision wasn't a difficult one.

Cheers from still chilly Austria, Sonny
