Powerful snow blizzard struck over Split, Croatia, in the early morning, February 3, 2012. Heavy snow driven by a hurricane gale
down the temperature at -4 C, which is extremely unusual for the city of Split, since its average temperature at that time of
year is around 10 C.
On the right there is a neo-Renaissance building of the Archdiocese of Split-Makarska, built 1903, designed by the Technical
Department of the Ministry of Construction in Vienna. The palace was built on the site of previously removed baroque bastion,
which was part of the city fortification complex.
