He's looking all around for something to eat on the frozen ground. But he looks like he still has some fat stored up for the winter. I believe he'll make it.
Hello Guy He was looking for something to eat I think, Guy, but this is on concrete. I zoomed in so it does have the look of frozen ground doesn't it.? Yes he was a plump little fellow. good to see you Guy ... thanks
Steve Hello, He does look pretty when close up doesn't he? this was seconds after I took the shot of the injured bird...actually from our same vantage point. I have a fellow like this one already in my "bird" tag, and made at the same parking lot in Savannah. Iam happy you like the capture my friend.
thank you both:)
Hello dear Sarah What a lovely close-up of this little fella! Was he tame? Such clear detail full-size...this certainly gets a YSL from me. I am really impressed mine never turn out as clear even when the ledge or twig they land on is in focus and they move so quick. Warm wishes..Tim x
Hello dear Tim No, he was a bird in the wild I suppose Tim. He came flying in and landed right at our car in a parking lot in Savannah. They were plentiful tho, many of them circling around. He was just a few feet away from that injured bird next to this one in the gallery! Iam so glad you like the shot Tim, great praise and I appreciate that. I was able to zoom in quickly as he didn't seem to be in a rush to fly away.
So good to see you as always Tim. Hope you are having a good week, its always good to have you drop by.
:))) Nice photo
A super opportunist capture, Sarah! Y*. Interesting how bird's feathers so often look like fur as well.
Best wishes, Brian.
Hi Brian thanks so much for the visit, and certainly for the Y*...so kind of you, I was happy with this shot of the little fella! I agree, his feathers are quite "fury" aren't they? His color was so vivid and stricking.
Good to see you Brian.
