The buildings you can see in this picture are called trulli, and they are the old typical farm houses of valle d'Itria the part of Puglia where I live. Usually they were the typical houses of farmers, but that in this picture were stables for sheep (in the background, inside the high wall) and houses for settlers then converted in catchall of the adjacent farm that in foreground. Trulli are completely and only made of stones, without any mortar, and today, many of them are converted in little resorts or houses for holidays.
