Little Petra is named Al-Beidha in Arabic, meaning 'the white one'. It is an important archaeological site in Jordan . This site is only a few kilometers from Petra and it is literally hidden away in the center of a mountain.
It is thought to have been one of the commercial areas of Petra where caravans of traders would constantly arrive.
The entrance to Little Petra (Al Beidha) contains a small “siq” (crack in the rock) through which visitors must pass.
