Little Petra is named Al-Beidha in Arabic, meaning 'the white one'. It is an important archaeological site in Jordan . This site is only a few kilometers from Petra and it is literally hidden away in the center of a mountain.
It is thought to have been one of the commercial areas of Petra where caravans of traders would constantly arrive.
There are a number of small niches around Little Petra. These were ancient representations of god idols or blocks.
