A grim image... But by god, it is bloody brilliant. Not skimping on high detail, everything is here!

Cheers Si, it is grim and yet I always find it attractive somehow , as do many judging by the frequency with which this gets photographed. There were 3 other togs just while I was there.

That's because they'll have seen your shots!

I can't make tonight. Going to spend some rare time with my wife.

Another stunning landscape shot Sam, although not an obvious subject for a grande landscape - the composition really works and you make the images from that Nikon D80 pin sharp ! Kind Regards Stuart

Cheers Stuart, given the very strong side wind and the lengthy lens I am more than surprised any detail remained so your compliment really pleases me.

And I'm sure we'll be back again Clive :o).

now you say from hell but as I think I said previously getting ownership of one of those huts is nigh on impossible. Those that have them cherish them dearly.

I just see the place a bit like those women you meet in life that aren't beautiful but they have a rough attraction and a dangerous fascination :o)

Cheers mate !

Oooooo eh? What an interesting comment thread this one is developing!

I can see that on my next photo-trip round N Yorkshire I am going to have to forsake Whitby for Redcar (and then head back over to t'Lakes).

Nice one Sam - Jethro

Cheers Jethro, personally I wouldn't pass Whitby over for this but if you can do both then it is well worth the effort. Many thanks for the great comment.

No apology needed Sam,not when there's shots like this to be had anyway, I don't mind industrial landscapes, having said that it isn't all industry in a way as you've included the huts.
