You're kiddin' me Keith. They know more about it that we ever will just by watchin' their mates.
My Grandkids will grow up in a family of shutter-nutters so cameras will always be on the Xmas list I reckon.

He did some good'ns. Cheers Jethro
My bride found a camera that was designed to be durable specifically for children. It has stereo viewfinders so the child doesn't have to deal with closing one eye. It uses off-the-shelf dispoable batteries so charging is a non-issue. We knew it wwould be the perfect Christmas gift for our 5-year-old granddaughter.
She shot photos until the batteries were dead, more than 1,000. A few were quite good. What surprised me was how she was clearly trying to get better shots...different framing, moving closer, stepping back, etc., all concepts I would not expect in a 5 year old mind. These are things we have to teach to adults.
I have heard that children are far more creative than we know, and by various means we drive it out of them. I can believe it.
That sounds just like the VTech one we bought Cameron for his birthday last month. He still prefers to take "Grandma's Real Camera" when we go out though. Nice to see you Austin.
VTech sounds familiar, so that may be the one.
