With all the remains of last year's leaves about them, these Snowdrops looked as though they were glowing in the sun that lit these woods..

Hello Steve Lovely mood and light in this very beautiful photo of the delightful snowdrops like it ,

in our garden they also are in bloom, just last week they started with a single flower and more and more followed even all crocusses , so I guess Spring is slowly moving in :) , Happy week to you

Hi there Karin :-) These little beauties were in a little valley a small distance from the path I was walking.... It was a bit of a struggle to get to them but it was worth all the scratches from the brambles!

Oooh what we endure to get the photo!

So glad you enjoyed this, Karin... and to have them in your garden must be a joy...

Cheers

Steve

The simplicity of this picture is lovely with the promise of better weather just along the way. Like.

Ah! Welcome back, NikonWoman :-) It was such a lovely day in February when I took this... and your comment about 'promise of better weather' is all but prophetic when I look out of my window at the moment... blowing a hoolie and rain lashing against the window!

I have to say, it is grand to see this one again... They are such a welcome sight after winter.

Thanks for the like...

Cheers

I love snowdrops and I haven't seen one for many years! Wonderful shot, as is the one taken in Salen, Mull...just across the water from my birthplace!

Greetings. Linda :-) I am so pleased you enjoyed this shot of the snowdrop... With all the white stuff about at the mo, your post is well timed :-)

Which shot in Salen, caught your eye? Mull was such a great holiday for us and to read you were born just across the water from there... :-)

Thanks for stopping by and for the grand comment :-)

Steven Stoddart on January 19, 2013

Hi there Linda - If I understood what the locals had to say about them, they have been there for over 10 years. We saw them on the evening we arrived on the island and returned to them the next morning..

They are even visible on Google Earth...

Cheers

Steve
