I've never seen anything like this. It is simply amazing to me. If given the choice though, I'd take the horse over the fabulous castle ANYDAY!
It's a lovely shot, Sean!

Hi MaryAlice nice to hear from you. This is Classiebawn Castle on the Mullaghmore peninsula. This estate was the residence of the Mountbatten family when they holidayed in Ireland. Lord Mountbatten died not far from here almost 30 years ago. I think the castle is in private hands these days.
Mullaghmore village is just a few hundred yards away and it has a little restaurant serving fantastic seafood: 'Eithnas' overlooks the harbour and is famous for its lobster and chowder.

I sure do appreciate all the interesting information on the neat Mullaghmore castle! I just can't even imagine what the inside must look like, can you? You haven't been inside, have you?
I would love to come to the village and have some of the lobster and chowder of which you spoke while overlooking the pretty harbor! It sounds delightful! My stomach is growling at this very moment!
Thank you again, as I really enjoy learning about different places far and wide!
Goodnight for now, MaryAlice

Good evening MaryAlice. I'm afraid that was as close to the castle as I got!
For interest, the second photo posted in my gallery (page 4) is a scene across Mullaghmore harbour.
Enjoy your weekend,
Sean.

Sean;
Good evening to you as well! It's wonderful to hear from you. I think I missed a day yesterday, so I'm trying to catch up a little on my correspondence.
I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get to go inside this marvelous place, but you still got this fabulous shot which is way more than I can say!
I am eager to see this other shot you mentioned! I'm on the way over!

Hello Sean! Nice to see that Castle here (again)! I've been there 12 years ago... and it hasn't changed since then! We had rent a Cottage at Streedagh Point, near Grange (Co. Sligo). Ben Bulben was alway watching :o) Oh, I have to visit green Eire again!!! Greetings, DerSIGGY

I hope you get back here again.
Greetings from Ireland,
Sean.
