Henrik. It's great to see that these old busses have found a new generation of admirers. My Dad owned several of these and drove a showband around the ballrooms of Ireland. Click here for a photo taken circa 1967

They definitely have character and they turn heads. However if you drive one you have to be prepared for unexpected mechanical mishaps. This one had three tow truck trips in seven years and somehow managed to travel halfway across France and back with a leaking clutch seal. I sold it three years ago and still miss its little puddle of oil on the road outside my house.

Great photo. It's aspiration for all those workers who would prefer to be out of the big smoke, surfing....

VKeith: I'd buy another like a shot if they didn't guzzle so much gas. They hold their value well if looked after.

Ours is slowly returning to the earth in the woods. If google earth was clearer over my hometown, I could show you. Brings back many fond memories! Thank you.
