The lock-up is dated 1776. Mill Lane, visible to the right, leads to the location of the former railway station.

Very good addition.

My notes are :-

The lock-up is situated in Mill Lane, BA2 7HD.

Dating to c1776. It was renovated in 1954 and 2003. Grade 11 listed 1.2.56 ID 400163.

Single storey rectangular plan built from ashlar coursed and squared Bath stone. The domical stone roof sits on a plinth. The narrow door is offset and has a studded plank door with iron strap hinges and a small metal grille. The door was restored in 1968. There are two cells inside.
