Sisyphus revisited

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Sculpture at Clarence Dock, Leeds.

The title for the photo was inspired by the story of the Greek myth of Sisyphus where the Gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly roll a rock to the top of a mountain, whence the stone would fall back of its own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labour.
