Thank you Catherine for your kind visit, nice comments and L&F. I saw that Bouchard picture and found very similar. Thanks for this wonderful info that these type of fishing techniques still using in France. It is believed that we have borrowed this fishing method from the Chinese during the middle ages when Chinese commercial ships visit frequently in this part of India for spices. We named this type of fishing as "Cheenavala" means Chinese fishing nets. Greetings. Alende
