Big car or small house?... obviously no garage! Sailor Jerry in NOLA.

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Good work ain't cheap; cheap work ain't good reads the inscription on this car. Parked on Charters, one of the main New Orleans streets. Probably Chevrolet Impala between 1958-59.(longest Chevy ever made!)

This classic Cajun Cottage house is probably 100 years older (around 1800).

For sale at $399,000 (only 1 bedroom, 1 bath) or $2000/month rent.

Info from PIT58 This Car A Legend...

1958 Chevrolet Impala

The year 1958 was the first year of the Impala. It started out as a model package for the Bel Air, but was more impressive. It came in two different body styles, a convertible and a sport coupe.

It had Impala script, insignia and crossed flag emblems on the front of the hood, ribbed body sill panels, large chrome air scoops ahead of rear wheels on the fenders, a competition style deep two spoke steering wheel with Impala medallions, and Impala script on the dash. It also had six taillights giving it a distinct look over all other Chevrolets. .....................................................................

A bottle of Sailor Jerry rum, eh? You know, receiving compensation for your picture makes you a professional. You'll be giving up all your amateur rights for one cheap drunk.

Go for it!

Tomros - Pano on March 29, 2012

But they can not mail it! I will have to pick it up in N.O. or Philadephia.... ;-(

so I may be an amateur for a while!

Never mind never drink & drive ;-)

Tomros - Pano on March 29, 2012

This would be called Drive for Drink, still legal here, provided you take a designated driver for the return portion....

Erik, the owner of the car contacted me with an offer. (the car is used as a promotional vehicle for the rum)

Erik van den Ham on March 29, 2012

You need to ask my friend Bob!

Tomros - Pano on March 29, 2012

You are lucky to have such friend!

My friend Bob, stopped drinking about 5 years ago, but moved to Thailand.

(where drinking is still cheap) - do not look for logic here!

Erik van den Ham on March 29, 2012

My friend Bob is a professional!

Perhaps he likes little boys too?
