I can't help it, Carsten, if I like colour! Yes, I liked the way the foreground led the viewer into the B&W version, but I much prefer seeing the full view of the nearest arch. And the subtle variety in the warm colour is very pleasing. Excellent version!

Thank you very much Marilyn. I took a look at other pictures in GE and the colours are just the same but other people used different positions. I have to admit the colours are amazing. I compared the colours with the original ones of the analog picture. They are the same. But to be honest I can't decide what I like more on such a scene. B/W is focused on the structure but in colour it lives. Maybe I scan the other one again in colour. Thank you very much for your comment.

Carsten Beautiful!!

I find myself wanting to walk round each bend an touch all of the stones to try to absorb the history.

Thank you e.m.r., Palmina and Sonny. When I saw these arches I had to take the photo. At that time I only took two photos. I scanned this one again and posted it. I am glad you like it.

Greetings,

Carsten

The photo's the thing...excellent in either version, Carsten.

Wallace Rivera on January 26, 2008

Excelent shot! :)

Thank you C.e.C.v, George and Wallace Rivera for your nice comments on my picture. Most of the people think the B/W version is better. And I also think that. But in colour you can see the stones of the wall in the original colour. But on the other hand the floor looses its structure and I think the contrast has no chance against the colour. Thank you all.

Carsten
