Are these things called Gargoyles?, anyhoo we just dont have these type of statues in Australia.... so I cant photograph them.!
Cheers Marlene I'm glad you like my dragons :)
Errr, I don't think you could really call these true Gargoyles Lex. Generally Gargoyles are on churches, inside and out. Quite often the ones on the outside of churches are there to help drain water from the roofs, they also help to convey messages to the parishioners...In medievil times most people were religious so they took note of such things. Nowadays we find them curious. Funny you should mention gargoyles as there are some ruins of an old abbey in this park and there are some modern repro gargoyles stuck on the walls. I think these are very chinese in origin, they look like dragons. They form and arch that leads into the childrens playground. These are made of wood and up close you can see all the tool marks, they are fantastic.

WOW! A celtic presage! So suggestive!!!
I had to look up the word 'presage' as I didn't know what it meant, lol.
Presage... is like a memory of a distant past, in fact Celtic, when I was a boy I loved so much that art! Goodby my (psychopath) friend! ;)
