Louis Armstrong (1901 – 1971), was an American jazz trumpeter, cornet player and singer from New Orleans, Louisiana.

There is just nobody like him, He had music in his veins!

Photo shows 10 ft Elizabeth Catlett's 1975 statue of Satchmo in Armstrong Park. Mahalia Jackson statue (also by Catlett) is in the same park.
