The Zürcher white tree of Minas Tirith

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

A stale piece of wood awaiting the return of its king: Spring! This tree produces a strange and exciting feeling on me. If you see it through seasons you can really perceive its fragility. Soon the shy, tender and fragile green leaves will start to appear to bring again, later on the year, yellowish tones that will remove the green to finally come back to this very same scene.

Great night shot, wonderful thoughts, suberb tone in tone! And the train/tram supports the winter tones and the schedule of your mentioned repetition.
And this Minas Tirith is not far away from the place were you can buy expensive golden rings.
Oh, and what a surprise, it's selected for GE! ;)

A good photographer is different from the bad not being able to use the technical camera features, but the ability to express his thought.

Well, I see that I like this photo :-)

good monochromatic picture. and thank you for describing the sensation of observing the tree throughout the seasons. it's a spectacle we don't usually see in Brazil

I have a funny story. Today I am, after two years, finished of uploading the photos from Zurich. And I was very surprised: the last photo which I made in Zurich, was this. I forgot about it. Funny, is not it?

Gerard, thanks again for the invitation to Zurich! :-)
