Next time I go to the Lakes, I certainly pop by that place. Is that the Glenridding Hotel behind?
I also got a similar "lucky" shot too...have a look here!

Hi Jeff,
Well, I found exactly where you took your photo - I went there just a few weeks ago. The view was completely different, being a warm sunny day. Have a look here, to compare it to yours!

Jeff,
Just wondering what camera and lens you are using and if a Polarising filter was used for this? I have a Nikon D60 which I am just getting to grips with. Most of my picrures on Panoramio are taken with a small compact camera, but a decent one! Recently upgraded to the D60 and have just this week bought some lens filters, but I currently only have the stock 18-55mm kit VR lens.
So far, so good!!
Neil.

Neil, Usually an old Nikon D70 with the Nikkor 18-70mm DX lens, its a bit long in the tooth now but its the first Digital camera I have had and it rekindled my enthusiasm for taking photos. I do a lot of fell walking and it stands up to a lot of rough treatment unlike the last Canon Film SLR I had. I used to have a Canon A1 for years and that was excellent. Its very beat up now.
