Looks like an Elephant getting a drink. He even has a tuft of hair - see original size

You certainly have a knack of finding animals in unusual places **Palmina. I love the way you have captured it drinking from ocean (it is the ocean?).

Thanks Billy Bass Straight, Ocean ???? it's all water! and nice and cool (although the rock pools were very warm, like a hot tub!

I can't quite decide whether my Elephant is standing behind a rock or whether it needs to loose some weight! I think it's a female so definitely standing behind a big rock with only her head showing!!!

Agoe thank you, it's a bit of fun to find animals in anything,

love, Palmina

I’ve had another look & I now think it’s a very large Woolly Mammoth. It’s wool appears to have turned green due to the Australian climate. :)

This is near the proposed site for a desalinisation plant. The Victorian and Australian govenments have in their limited (read autocratic, expansionist, un-environmental, multi-national) wisdom, chosen this site to build a complex that pollutes the river, sea, beaches and in particular destroys an remnant of original coastline with its diverse flora and fauna. Angrypenguinstwo I didn't know this, it would be a crime to destroy this wonderful site. It is so beautiful as is most of the coastline in Victoria. I know we are in a terrible state with water shortages and we have to do something but it would be a disaster to destroy the coast line and jeopardise the wildlife......They are doing their best to do that in Port Philip Bay with the dredging! I'll take a look at the website you've given me.
