I think the above comment sums it up nicely. You are very good at spotting this type of picture Amelia. I really like it.
All the best, Rosa.
Thank you both Rosa and the **Bonnie Lad. It was the juxtaposition of the benches and the spikes of the glasshouses that caught my eye here! :))
MMMM, one has be aware of spikes in gardens, one can easily get ones eye hoyked oot!
Hello Amelia, I have photographed this very scene myself! You are definitely putting me in the notion for making a return visit to Auld Reekie's Royal Botanic Garden. I love the strong diagonals in this shot. The way in which the diagonals recede and draw the eye into the scene is very effective. The contrast between the haphazard shapes of the shrubbery, and the regular geometric shapes of the glasshouse makes this a very pleasing composition. I LIKE it! Best wishes from Scotland, Joe
I like steel-glass structures like this Amelia
J' aime bien la perspective et la composition, Amélia
Salutations de la Mauricie, MonPiche
I'm sure that the Botanics is looking wonderful at the moment Joe, and worth a visit. I always like going there before the trees are in leaf, not like this one, so that the structures can be seen :))
This glasshouse is nowhere near as elegant as the other palm house, but probably a lot more practical. :)
I will pay a visit to the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh soon.
I often photograph the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow.
Good morning Hubs, I am sorry for this late reply. I have been neglecting this Edinburgh garden and concentrated on my own garden in England.
Thank you - isn't it a pity that the sun wasn't shining?
Greetings from the UK, Amelia
Merci beaucoup pour votre compliment MonPiche. Je suis ravi que vous aimez cette serre, même en temps maussade.
