staring down the barrell of a derelict tree in the piscataway

March 10, 2012 was slightly on the cool side with highs in the mid to upper 40s. The winter now melting quicly away, and spring pushing its way in, i made a foree to piscataway creek. To access that body of water, i went to the warf road put in, which was fairly convenient.

There were no port a johns there, nor water or any services, just hard packed durt to park on. The shore is rocky gravel so no matter what the tide is, you can lauch a kayak with out getting all mucked up.

The one thing to mention is that there are lots of shallow spots around the river, so beware if you go on low tide, as you can suddenly find yourself in a mud flat. Something which could get messy if the tide is going out.
