My dearest Peter,
What an alive photo!!! from Sheringham !!!
G* of course!!!
Hi Steve & Füsun,
Thank you both for your visits, wonderful words, and awards here. Yes, the first scene of the day, and Steve was waiting for it five minutes down the track to get this.
On reflection a bit further down the track would have worked better, by which time the drain cocks would have been closed, and just a bit less steam to obscure this well presented locomotive.
Hello Peter i certainly like the framing for this shot as you collected your pass and have replaced my YS-L here .. certainly a much more dramatic looking shot than mine taken outside Sheringham
best wishes .. steve
Thank you again for your praise and awards. I did not know how this would turn out.. but I took a walk along the trackside anyway... A bit further would have worked better, I think, after it had cleared the bridge. None the less, I'm pleased that you have enjoyed it.
Nice shot Peter I like the inclusion of the signals and water hose besides the main subject ~ YSL and best wishes ~ nick
Thank you very much. It is nice when folks look into the older photos in the gallery, rather than just the front page.
The real story behind this (as Steve knows), is that I had arrived a little later than planned, just picked up my pass from the office, by which time it was too late to meet as planned. Therefore I made the best of what was available, not really remembering that the cold cylinders would require longer application of the drain cocks....
Anyway, I'm very happy that you have enjoyed it!!
