THE ARAB, CHINESE AND EUROPEAN TRAVELERS OF 1ST MILLENNIUM WROTE OF A GREAT PORT HERE, WHERE THEY TRADED THE SPICES AND OTHER ITEMS. NOW SCIENTISTS ASSUME THAT THE FLOOD REMAINS OF THE RIVERS DEPOSITED MADE THE PORT UNUSABLE AND LATER IGNORED.
