Thank you, Bassam. I was in a 7th heaven as I flew across this landscape of sugarcane farms, cities and villages, rivers and islands. Warm regards,

Ian

Your appreciation of the landscapes and the photos is special, . Thank you very much. Have you planned your trip to Australia, yet?

Wow, wow, wow...!

"I can just do a 360 over the city, or around the mountain... let's follow the river to the coast then up the coast...would you like that?"

Would I what!!!

See Rob, you can do family history from the air too.

The evening your Great Great Grandfather arrived in the "Eagle" at the corner (top right), he was recruited and taken on a ketch with other young men and women around this meander, then into Tinana Creek, and upstream for about 8kms before they were disembarked in the rainforest and given some food in a coconut shell!

If the 4mth voyage was the adventure of a lifetime, what happened that night must have begun to surpass what had come before!

Thank you, Roland. It is a great joy for me to have such opportunities to fly with the camera and go where I want to go! Thanks for the encouragement.

I agree, Ebi and that is the main reason I love flying!! I am glad you like such an image. Thanks. I think there will be many more low level aerials in my Pano pages.

Warm regards,

Ian

What a view - I like it! Thanks for visiting my Gallery and your comments! Bw Ricky Lu (Moderator A1-Unique Australia)

I like this view of the Mary River and its tributary, Tinana Creek, too, Ricky. The floodable lands are productive sugar areas and the city of Maryborough does not invade The Pocket, except for a couple of significnat industrial plants: Hyne & Son sawmill and the Maryborough sugarmill, both out of picture to the right.

Thanks for your comment and your work in coordinating the Unique Australia group.
