In other words: The brand Caran d'Ache is the noble sounding version of the russian word pencil, карандаш. Which is allegedly derived from the turkish kara (black) and tasch (stone, shale).

So colorful beginning of the year!

©polytropos on April 29, 2010

I remember, it was a rainy, dreary and boring New Year's Day. Then you come to such ideas.

The wonders should be done by own strength!

Hmm... Vielleicht! :-)))

Jedoch, was stellt "Caran d'Ache" her?? :-))

©polytropos on May 2, 2011

Eben: Farbstifte und Bleistifte. :)

Larissa Subb on May 2, 2011

Also, Du hast Recht vermutlich... :-)))

Eher spricht man "grifel" (грифель)... :-)))

©polytropos on May 2, 2011

"Griffel" ist eher ein altes Wort. Das benützt man heute nur noch eher als abschätzige Bezeichnung für einen Bleistift oder Schreiber von geringer Qualität.

Larissa Subb on May 2, 2011

Ich meinte, die Menschen bei uns frueher so gesprochen haben... :-)) Nun - nur Карандаш!!!!! :-))))
