The original Xpu-Ha Palace Resort was essentially destroyed by Hurricane Wilma in 2005; although it was rebuilt to the north of the original location, the new version was I think engineered more toward families with young children. We have not returned since our seven-day visit in 2003. But the old Xpu-Ha Palace lives on in my dreams to this day: I have never lived in such a sumptuous place as that was, and only in the more rustic Log Cab-Inn in San Ignacio, Belize, have I subsequently been so happy with our environment and the kindness of the owners and staff.

Thank you again for inviting me! Certainly when we travel, my wife and I would prefer to stay in places that care about the Earth as much as we do. Every one of us has a share of the Earth, and we are all brothers and sisters on the same journey.
