September 14 of 1942 became one of the dangerous days in the dangerous days in the epic defence of Stalingrad. The fascists strove to the Volga. On September 13-14 ( at night) the 13th reserve guards division commanded by General A.I. Rodimtsev ferried across the Volga from its left bank under the persistent bombardment and joined the battle. The enemy was stopped. On February 2 of 1943 Soviet army won the legendary victory under Stalingrad.
