great view here FB, and you've made it look so isolated! :)
Thanks FS. It's a mosquito heaven out there but gold considering how little pristine wild wetland is left in the area. Just add repellent..People go mad when the mossies go mad in Mandurah. Their solution..get the authorities to spray hell out of the place (and put all insect life, and what feeds on it, at risk) and/or develop over the wetlands. They just don't get it. They want nature..but they don't want nature. I give up.
Great perspective Jock. Love the vanishing walkway and water on this one. I see reading your comments above the locals dont like the Mossies though. In QLD they have council trucks firing repellent into the air driving up and down the streets of the gold coast. Well they did in 1986 anyway. Maybe when all the frogs died out from hunger they stopped it.
Hi Gary. Thanks for the kind comments. We are having a particularly bad time with mossies right now after a session of summer rain a short while back. And we may get more tomorrow with the remains of Cyclone Narelle passing by. Near here in the Mandurah area they've been spraying as in Qld for some years, but it only alleviates the problem at best. I worry about what it does to the environment.
Bugger me! Fancy finding this!
Well, there you go. I see you've been poaching down our way again Mr Smith. I even went out for a bit of late afternoon snapping in Halls Head myself on Saturday. Got too much on around the house to get too involved in photography right now though. I'll pop over for a closer look at yours in a day or two.
